amberle (Amberle S Ferrian):

"You must first understand...that preservation of the land and all that
lives and grows upon it, plant and animal alike, is a moral responsibility...
[Everyone] is expected to spend a portion of his life giving back to the land
something of what he has taken out of it...to devote a part of his life to
working with the land--to repairing damage it may have suffered through misuse
or neglect, to care for its animals and other wildlife, to care for its trees
and smaller plants where to need to do so is found."

					--Amberle Elessedil
					    in Terry Brooks'
					    The Elfstones of Shannara

jsc (Jin S Choi):

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

"YOU SHOULD'VE SEEN THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY!"

Original D&D gives a "% in liar" for each monster listed. That's a
typographical error; the correct word is "lair." However, the creators
of the Arduin Grimoire, in imitating D&D, gave a "% liar" for all
their monsters.

Before any other netters out there post this, I'll fess up. After
doing the run-up for my first night dual flight, I called the tower:

Me:	Allegheny Tower, niner five six two seven, ready on two eight
	southbound.

Tower:	Niner five six two seven, position and hold.

Me:	Position and seven, six two hold.
		     ^^^^^ ^^^^

	[ 2 seconds of silence while I realize what I said. ]

Me:	Uh, six two seven.

[ 2 more seconds while the controller stops laughing. ]

Tower:	That's okay, we understood.
