that road. Every week it seems to get more potholes, patches, and other
hazards to safe driving and bicycling. I now routinely avoid it when
bicycling, for fear of blowing a tire, damaging a rim, or being thrown
from my bicycle.
I urge you to make it a top priority of your work crews to rebuild Ames
Street from scratch (as you did Hayward Street, between Main and Amherst
Streets a couple years ago). I understand that you normally schedule
such work for the Spring, Summer, and Fall months (to avoid the problems
with working in the winter). I would greatly appreciate your scheduling
Ames Street for complete repair as soon as the winter weather abates.
