Not a bad little storm Thursday night. We didn't have what I'd call a
severe thunderstorm in Lexington despite the fact that the wind was gusting
to maybe 50 knots (the rain was only moderately heavy, and there wasn't
much lightning).
Last November we had a tornado watch and severe thunderstorm warning on
different days. I remember the tornado watch. I was in transit from Reno
through Dallas (returning from Supercomputing '89). We sat on the runway
for 2 hours, under brilliant sunshine, waiting for the squall line to clear
out up here.
Well, global warming should push a lot of that nasty weather up here, one
would think...
