if your "eye doctor" didn't tell you about the risks behind the use of contact lenses (which include corneal ulcers if you are a soft lens user) then your practitioner was negligent. this is *particularly* true if you wear extended-wear lenses. (it's why i only wear mine three days at a stretch *maximum*; usually mine are out after 48 hours).
