capsalad (Dave Schulman):

Once I had a dream, a bloody marvelous dream.
Things dropped into place fasfaster than I could
     Shout their names.
I had a feel for these things.
I could appreciate the fineness of the lowliest.
     Of leafy green vegetables.
And enriched macaroni food product. Yes.
But Lobdell has cut my carrots
Hacked my hoes to horrible hash
Jeered; laid waste to the unsullied spudidity
Of fine American potatoes. Oh no.

celine (Adam Weishaupt):

Is it empty yet?
Just checking.

Set me alight
We'll punch a hole right through the night
Every day the dreamers die
To see what's on the other side
She is Liberty
And she comes to rescue me
Hope faith, her vanity
The greatest gift is gold
Sleep comes like a drug -- in God's country
Sad eyes, crooked crosses -- in God's country

I was driving down the road and passed by a fast-food sign of the type
off of which letters routinely fall. The sign read:

THE ONLY THING MISSING FROM L NCH IS U!

Random Chess Trivia:

One or two years ago, a chess program called "Belle" took up the
position of King and Rook versus King and Queen against Walter
Browne, six-time U.S. Champion. Belle survived to claim a draw
by the 50-move rule. They then reversed sides, and Belle won.
Belle has added to endgame theory in several cases, and has found
at least two positions in which the 50-move rule had to be
updated.

Scary!
