mark, that's called "sampling" and it is done before anything is ever on tape (it's all digital). still, it is a prime example of how technology coerces us into thinking that complex and glitzy is better when it really still is tacky (at best)... (not to say that sampling is bad ... some of my favorite DFS artists use it well ... but now they let *anyone* use it ...)
