I. Chapter skills program
FIRST AID
Servcomm recommends that the chapter pay 1/2 the cost of the
Red Cross program for members of AX. Other people (like prospectives)
will not be subsidized, but if they go with an AXcoAPO group 1/2
of the cost will count towards their membership fees and such.
This will be written up more formally and made into a standing
policy, hopefully soon :).
A group trip to the red cross program in Quincy will happen Sat.,
Aug 7. More information will be sent to apo-summer. It is an
8-hour program that gives a 1 year adult cpr certificate and a
3 year first-aid certificate.
PRINTING
The printing program as it currently exists (explained by Michael).
-Before printing on your own, you must print twice with a journeyman
and go through a qualification run.
-To become a journeyman, you must have printed at least ~6 times and
be strong in the way of the press as determined by a journeyman.
-Only journeymen can teach someone else.
Current journeymen : Harry, Michael, Lori, Len Tower, Ellen
How to get more people certified?
-Publicize more when printing jobs are happening.
II Attendance at service projects (contact chair)
Contact chair will organize phone callings approximately weekly.
The manpower for this will come by asking each brother to sign up
to help with it one time each term.
Making this a brotherhood expectation referred to Memcomm.
III Projects for the beginning of term/rush
Suggestions were Margaret Fuller House, CASPAR, Shelter Inc, Metro
District Commission (no painting), City-Days (PSC), Food Bank,
National Braille Press, Habitat (Construction or Destruction).
