Chapter Weekend I is almost here! I finally confirmed with Ranger Bob
that 1) he is expecting us and 2) we have a place to sleep with a
kitchen, and with bathrooms and running water, too, if we want.
Who: Well, just about anyone.
What: CW I.
When: Friday evening through Sunday noonish.
Where: Camp Nobscot
Why: Service (help with "chores" around the camp),
Fellowship (work with your friends, "sing" or play cards or
just hang out with them after dinner,
Learn a chapter skill: I will finally teach knots to anyone
interested (get a jump start on your sailing card!),
And, the Barbara Manganis Memorial Dinner, Friday evening.
I'll follow up with more details tomorrow, I have to edit out some
verbiage from my original letter, and I need to get to bed now. I
just wanted to not delay getting out the notice now that I have talked
to the ranger.
