UMOC Candidates Committee
September 10 - 8:00
Goal of Candidates Committtee : To have at least
four really psyched candidates before the contest
begins.
Formation of the Campaign Committee
Purpose : to assist candidates in publicizing
themselves and raising money
Members of the committee will :
-contact candidates directly
-encourage candidates to campaign in ways
that have been effective in the past
(standing in Lobby 7, campaigning in dorms/classes)
-help candidates assemble their own committee
of non-brothers to help them campaign.
-provide a small budget (~$15 per candidate)
for candidates to spend on publicity materials
for their campaigns.
-the committee as a whole will be equally
accessible to all candidates.
Once we have candidates
-try to get direct competition among the candidates
-get publicity before the contest so people will be
participating all week.
-provide more support for campaigning candidates through
the campaign committee than we have in the past
Finding candidates
During the next week -
-Sara will find someone to represent the Random Hall milk
-Carolyn will find people for Trans. Horiz. and contact
Voodoo and Seth Bisen-Hersch
-Emily will contact Roadkill Buffet
-Cathy will find someone to represent "My thesis"
-Thor will find people for the BLB or the Task force
report.
-Ari will find someone to represent spam.
Another meeting will occur next week, time TBA.
