hi all! and here it is again.....the current rendition of fulton's
follies:
in order to sing this song properly,one needs the following
paraphinailia:
WATER. lots of it. it'll be hot, and it's easy to get dehydrated.
SUNSCREEN: just 30 minutes of direct sunlight can cause pinkness and
burning if it's sunny enough...imagine a whole day worth of sunlight...
FOOD: you'll get hungry, and the food they sell there is greasy and
expensive
other useful stuff:
towels/blankets to sit on, games, cards, books, sunhats, flashlights (for after
the fireworks), and a sweatshirt or jacket for the fireworks (it can get
chilly at night)
now...for the verses:
verse 1: meet at the office at 7 am for first strike.
people singing this verse: me (jill), brad ito, susama, brad L., and
possibly matt power.
verse 2: head out to esplanade. we'll be situated near the hatchshell,
on the waterfront. we'll have a banner or something like that
displayed.
verse 3: other people show up throughout the day, bringing lots of
yummy food. although most people like to show up AFTER lunch, please
show up BEFORE, like around 9-10 am. we need another 10 people or so to
show up then to legitimize having so much space; otherwise other people
will encroach, and then latecomers don't get space
:(
so if you want to volunteer to show up between 9-10, please reply to me
via email. I need about 10 of you.
verse 4: FIREWORKS!!! woohoo!
verse 5: breaking camp and bringing stuff back to the offic.e I need
about 4 people to go back to the office.
and don't forget all the choruses... having a lot of fun and fellowship!
