An opportunity may be passing you by! This summer's C.P.W. - Chapter
Program Workshop has been scheduled for the weekend of July 24th to 26th at
Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA.
The deadline of May 1st to notify the National office is fast
approaching and no one has yet to register for the CPW in Region 1.
We may be able to get an extension on that deadline but not for
long.. and we may end up having to cancel the CPW in Region 1 . I
would be disappointed to know a Leadership Development opportunity,
planned in Region 1, for Region 1, had passed you by..
Please help! if you were already planning to go.. please get your butt
in gear and contact the APO National Office (c/o Susan :
apoadmin@aol.com ) and let them know you are coming.. then follow it
up with the registration form and fees ($) in the mail asap.
If you were thinking of going.. but aren't sure, please read
on.. and/or contact your local Section Chair or myself, who can
answer further questions.. or help you decide to go. There are many
students in this Region who have taken this program, either last
summer, or at Regionals in December, who may be able to tell you more
about it. Maybe you can tell the office you are thinking of
going... ???
If you are an outgoing officer getting this message please
PASS IT ON to the incoming executive board, and encourage them to
go. Of course, remind them to let them know about the deadline.

The chapter should have already received several copies in several
different mailings, of the registration form.. but please do not let
the lack of one stop you. Susan in the office, or myself or your SC
can tell you the info needed or provide you a copy of the form.
This is a wonderful opportunity to get some Leadership Development
Training in Leadership, Membership and Service, as well as other
chapter program related skills. This is a National Leadership
Development Program developed to help the officers, and others
involved in these program areas, develop leadership skills through
presentations, small group discussions, exercises, and roles plays.
It is open to all members, but is structured to reflect the
Presidents, Service Program and Membership Program areas, and can also
address Fellowship, and Staff development as well. This includes:
service project chairs, pledge trainers and rush chairs (as well as
MVPs) and anyone who might see themselves in any of these positions
soon.
It can be a wonderful experience for you, and a terrific benefit back
to your chapter for you to further develop your leadership, in this
fashion.. a great service to your chapter, the section, and this
Region .
