WE HAVE PROJECTS. THEY'RE NIFTY. SOME OF THEM ARE EVEN DAMN WARM
AND FUZZY. No need to fret, however; there are still plenty of cold
prickly projects to go around.
SCIENCE EXPO
May 5
3-7pm in Johnson.
Help local kids realize the joys of science. See many reports on the
amazing live sea monkeys, or the progress of pea plants under
different environmental conditions. Whoa. The plants all died under
high concentrations of sulferic acid. Damn.
Or you could give people tours of campus. Last year, one brother saw
the amazing wind tunnel for the first time on this very same project.
Whee. Keep an open mind; it'll be fun.

GIFTED PEOPLE'S CONFERENCE
May 9-10
all weekend in Tang (E51)
Work the registration table for a conference with the Holligsworth
Center for the Gifted. And, if you feel so led, you can play with
the children of the conference go-ers. Play chess with 10-year-olds
who are smarter than you are. Keep an open mind; it'll be fun.

AWARDS CONVOCATION

Usher the Awards Convocation & following reception. Dress
semi-nicely; if not possible, at least don't go for the grunge look on
this day in particular. Lots of free MIT-catering-type refreshments.
Yay for stocking up on juice^H^H^H^H^H er, uhh, giving service to the
MIT community. Yeah. Keep an open mind; it'll be fun.

ARLINGTON FOOD PANTRY(Joint with the AXAA)
May 16
2-6pm
Sort donations from the Post Office Food Drive. The food pantry will
be very swamped, so people are very much needed for this project. And,
hey, you'll have an excellent opportunity to meet crufty alums....hmm
mold in a food bank isn't always a bad thing...
