Hi,
Date and time for the apple picking outing have been
finalized: we meet at noon Sunday (October 12th) at the office, have a
one hour drive, stay at the orchard for an hour or so (depending on
what people want to do), then drive back. We then have the Next House
kitchen reserved until 8pm.

So far I've got 9 yesses and three maybes: Jake and George and
Brian Young (a good friend of mine interested in becoming what I
presume is titled a "Friend" of the chapter; he's not a student
anymore)--- they are the maybes. Y'all coming?
Currently we only have one definate driver, Ari, with seven
seats total, including driver(s). George, if you've got a car with a
total of five seats, then we can take all 12.
Otherwise, one of us will have to rent a van....My license has
been missing for 7 months, presumed dead, Jefreypu hasn't gotten his
in the mail yet.... that leaves Ari, Lan, or Brian Young as those in
the remaining group possibly old enough to rent a van.

*Email* me by, say, noon tomorrow if you will be coming to the
orcharg--but DO NOT email me if you won't be coming: very simple idea,
but too many people have been telling me they can't come. If more
people say "yes" than we will probably have to take a van and Ari's
car--and if you just show up Sunday without warning, there may not be
space for you.

Anyone, however, can drop by Next House to take part in the
later-afternoon baking/cooking--I don't need to know because I don't
need drivers for that. We should be making enough food that many
latecomers can be accommodated.

Take care,
Brad

PS This is perfect if you want to impress your mom or grandmother:
getting some nice, fresh country air and healthy eats. Don't tell her
about how much sugar goes into a pie or applesauce, or that the
caramel coating of a caramel apple sort of defeats the whole
health-thing.
