Chapter Weekend I was held September 19-21 at Camp Resolute. The
event was a joint AXAA/AXcoAPO project. Attendance was excellent,
with sixteen alumni, ten actives, two pledges, and one prospective
present. We dismantled six tent sites for the winter, rowed the docks
out into the middle of the lake so they wouldn't crack, put strapping
up for a new ceiling on one of the pavilions, ate lots of ice cream,
ate lots of cheesecake, and sang in far too many keys. I hope
everyone had a great time. Thank you for coming.

The ranger repeatedly expressed his gratitude to me for all of your
hard work, particularly for bringing the tents in. I realize it was
dull and mundane, but the camp staff were truly desperate to get the
tents out of the elements so that the tents will survive for another
summer of scouting.

I would especially like to thank my co-PC Ari Wilkenfeld, the group of
volunteers from Grace Baptist Church who worked with us Saturday
morning, Susama Agarwala for taking countless phone calls from too
many states while we organized the whole thing while I was on the
road, as well as Dale Worley, Greg McMullan, and anyone else who did
phone callings, Alan Meisler for doing a mailing to the alumni, Chris
Falling, Jill Pelavin, and Colin Ferguson for the cheesecake, and
everyone who brought guitars, music, cards, or other ideas for
fellowship.

YiLFS,

Darlene Ford
