So somehow I got suckered into organizing Fulton's Folly, the party
on the Esplanade where the Boston Pops give their traditional July 4th
concert, featuring lots of EXPLOSIVES! Er, I mean, fireworks.

Yeah.

Who: You, silly, and several thousand of your closest friends. Seriously,
anyone you want to invite is welcome.

When: The first strikers will be leaving from the student center lobby
at 6:00am; come! Stake out space! Everyone wants to bask in the
glory of the Chahles bloody-early on a Friday morning! Yippee-
skippy-or-something-like-that. Everyone else is free to filter
in at his/her leisure. Come before noon and hang out with cool
people; if not, at least come before 6pm if you plan on
being able to find us in the crowds.

Where:	We'll be right on the riverbank, so that we can get a "front-row"
view of the fireworks. We might almost be able to hear the Pops
playing that evening. Sort of. Maybe.

If you're walking from the Harvard Bridge, head east
along the Esplanade. Bear to the left whenever possible. Maybe
10 minutes along, walking, you'll see a lone tree across the path
from a large bust of Arthur Fielder. We'll be there. If you pass
the cannons, you've gone too far.

From the Longfellow: Head west. Pass the Hatch Shell. Pass the
	cannons. Look for us.

What to bring: Sunblock. Food and water. (It might be cooler to get into
small groups to bring food and water for yourselves.) Games/cards/
various and sundry playthings. A few dollars.

What not to bring:	Cars. Valuables.

So come and enjoy the outdoors and the music and the fireworks.
If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me. And if you're
psyched about helping to carry stuff over that morning, REALLY feel
free to e-mail me.

'Ats all.

Melissa.
