To all APO actives and alum,
This is just a reminder that Carnival here in Trinidad and Tobago is
on the 23rd and 24th of February of 1998 and you are invited to
visit.
If you are interested in coming, please book your airline tickets within the next two
weeks. Good flights to Trinidad for Carnival become difficult
(actually - nearly impossible) to get after June. If you have a
tight holiday schedule, I would recommend arriving perhaps Thursday
19 or Friday 20 Feb and leaving the Wednesday 24 or Thursday 25 Feb.
(I will NOT curtail my carnival to pick up or drop off people to the
airport between Sat 21 and Tues 24, so don't do it).
You are of course welcome to stay longer. Consider booking a flight
to Tobago or to other Caribbean islands while you are here. You can
e-mail me for more details and for arranging carnival costumes etc.
as well as other activies like hiking and day trips.
I have one extra bedroom, and can vacate mine (my parents live around
the corner) if necessary. If you don't mind sleeping bags and a bit
of a crowd, I could probably host up to 6-8 comfortably and more with
a squeeze. Children are welcome and babysitting can be arranged. If
you really want to be gung-ho I could arrange a service project on
Sat 21 Feb 98.
