WHAT Draw and paint colorful signs
WHEN Saturday, January 25, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
WHERE Project Bread Warehouse, South Boston
WHY Project Bread is the nonprofit group that organizes the annual
Walk for Hunger to raise funds to support over 460 emergency
feeding programs in Massachusetts, a Hunger Hotline, food
drives, and shaping public policies that address hunger,
particularly among children. The 500 painted signs will be
posted along the walk route.
HOW Get involved! To participate, call 617-437-8871, ext. 2, by
1/17, or send e-mail to <lori@pmd.org>. Give your complete
name, mailing address, home and work phone numbers.
After you sign-up, PMD will send specific information the week before
the project, including directions to the project site (by public
transit and by car), a map, what to expect, and a waiver form.
WHO People Making a Difference through Community Service, Inc.
(PMD) is a nonprofit, all-volunteer charitable organization
established in 1992. PMD, through its network of volunteers,
organizes one-day hands-on community service projects which
assist other charitable groups with needed work.
