That doesn't follow. MIT students gets inconvenienced by us all the time
-- after all, we're not open 24 hours. Janitors being inconvenienced is
Not Our Problem -- we're not CAC. Office security -is- our problem; I
don't see what our rep is is relevant here.

Excuse me? We lock our front door, our strongbox, and our safe for good
reasons -- not everyone can be trusted. IMHO, CAC should be talked to --
janitors should not be letting people into rooms. This used to be policy;
when it got changed, I don't know. There's a big problem with the scenario
you state: namely, precedent. Only we can make judgment calls on when
things should be returned to students.

This is ridiculous, as I've explained above. Our office was closed and
locked at 1am and was compromised by an unauthorized third party.
