                     CHAPTER WEEKEND I

  The long-awaited, first Chapter Weekend of the term will
occur next weekend (September 27--29) at Camp Cedar Hill,
located in beautiful [1] Waltham.

The Projects we shall work on include, but are not limited to:
  * working on a handicap accessible trail [2]
  * painting the interior of a building
  * staining building exteriors

  And of course, all pledges and potential big brothers are
_strongly_ encouraged to attend the Big Brother / Little Brother
study break on Saturday night.

  How do you get there? Easily -- just go to the office and
use the sign-up sheet. The times are flexible; you needn't
stay overnight. If you like, you can even just go for the
study break.

  Some people are thinking of biking up there... If you're
interested in that, let me know, so that it can be coordinated.

  Also, be sure to bring warm clothing and a sleeping bag or
blanket. Preparation for bad weather is known to ward off
the worst storms, and the inverse has been noted as well. [3]

Now -- for leadership positions:

That most excellent and illustrious physicist / APOcEd known
as Hannah has graciously volunteered to serve as Food PC for
the weekend; however, I am still seeking these sub-PCships:

  * a Manpower PC
  * a Transport PC

In case you didn't know, these are both wonderful leadership
positions, [4] and have been called "a joy to perform."

To summarize:
  Camp Cedar Hill
  Sept. 27--29
     Come to the office and sign up! (Service!)
       or email me!
       or call me! (x5-8745)
         ask me questions!
         go to the study break! (Fellowship!)
         be a sub-PC!                               (Leadership!)

  and remember to keep out of the rain!

YiLFS,
  Michael

End notes:

[1] (well... so I've been told)
[2] That work is expected to consist mainly of moving rock and such.
[3] but Of Course, I wouldn't know about such a thing as _that_.
[4] (to pledges: ) *nudge, nudge*
