Minutes for Chapter Meeting of May 4, 1996
Meeting called to order at 9:02 PM
Attendance: Many
[AVP note: There is no record of all who attended because there were
far too many alumni to get them all down. There might have been a
reasonable number of brothers, but attendance was not taken by Ari.
Being the incoming AVP, I ended up entering all the minutes =-)]
Officer Reports:
President [Charley]: APO Trinidad stuff. Gina promised at 50th to
found a chapter in Trinidad. Last meeting AX voted to support a new
chapter. The Incoming president will appoing a chair. There will be
Chapter Program Workshops over the summer. I couldn't think of
anything splufty to give my officers, so I will think of it over the
summer.
SVP [Junko]: Congrats to the Chapter on another term. Here is a
hardhat for my successory.
MVP [Cathy]: Congrats to new brothers, neophytes. Joanna and Erin
couldn't make it to 60th.
AVP: To my successor I leave all the cruft in my mailbox. Gee thanks.
Treasurer [Alexis]: It was ok. I never got the official shirt. I saw
that it was disgusting anyway, so here is a drawing of the shirt for
my successor.
Fellowship Chair [Emily]: We printed new sour notes. To buy one give a
check to me or John. Everything went well. Thanks to everyone who did
stuff. Here is the pitch pipe for Ingrid.
ApocEd [Michael]: Thanks to everyone who wrote articles. Send in more.
ASC [Lan]: People need to learn to clean up after themselves.
Pubdir [Oscar]: I changed that hideous color in the infinite corridor
[no offense to Bridget =-)]
Historian [Ingrid] : Old stuff - no on e knows what it is. Here is a scrapbook
with stuff from this term.
Chairman of the Advisory Committee [Joe K.]: Thanks to the chapter for 60th.
Congrats and good luck.
60th committee: We had 60th. It was cool.
Carnival: I thought we should do carnival. We talked. We had meetings.
We've decided to run carnival spring '97. Trouble with spring weekend.
Joe: You should talk to Fletcher [Fletcher points himself out]
DSK's: insufficient concurrence to award any DSK's.

New Business:
Installations: [are cool =-) mrn performs the installation of the
new officers]
Alphies Chair [Susan Born]
There are some Alphies that couldn't be presented at 60th. This
includes a small silkscreen for Cathy, who screened 60th shirts, a
smurf for Bob because of the blue streamer at SFF, and a copy of the
historians roll for Joe.
Charley- gets a cool peace symbol candle for his cool addition of how
to make APO 'groomier. [or something like that]
Jeffrey- for always being at the big screw booth and explaining the
little screw [which is actually a little bolt]. Jeff gets bolts for
his head. =-)
Ingrid/Lan- foring doing a lot of stuff - they get snorkles so they
don't drown in their work.
Jill- the grand prize for quoting goes to Jill for saying "Unsex me
here" from MacBeth.
Lizzie- gets second place for source of transpiring quotes in others.
Jeffrey/Emily: runners up
Harry- gets a megaphone so that we can hear him.
Rachel/Charley- they get tarot cards for their contribution of Pull!
Boom!
Alexis- Alexis gets a piggy bank for being a good treasurer
Carolyn becomes the Chapter Assassin.
Mike Rapetta: Please recognize the regional Chair
Regional Chari: Anniversary Certificate. APO national congrats AX on
60th anniversiary for faithful service. Singed 17th April, 1996.

------[Meeting Switches to New Officers]-------
Officer Reports:
SVP [Alexis]: We may have a reg day. There are PC's for reg day, UMOC
and Book Exchage.
MVP [Ari]: We have pldge, brother, etc. policies, in addition rush
should be intensive, alumni interested in helping contact Ari.
AVP [Jeffrey]: I have been taking minutes and reserving rooms. Yeah.
Treasurer [John]: Pay your debts! Most people have paid for 60th. If
you want to buy shirts, talk to John. Reg day is going away soon. At
the last meeting we were able to make about $1100 in cuts. I will be
looking for income over the summer.
Fellowship Chair [Ingrid]: I want to do picnics. The first Fellowship
event is on October 5th the other is SFF. I Banquet is Dec 12th.
Apoc Ed [Hannah]: People should write articles. The deadline for the
Apoc is Friday May 17th. Ideas for articles: Incoming/Outgoing
reports, project reports, 60th reports, new Brothers, new advisors,
carnival reports.
ASC [Lan]: Nothing to Report
Pubdir [Oscar]: Nothing to Report
Historian [Ingrid]: I don't know how many pictures I have taken
tonite, but I love this job.
President's Report: Alphie's Chair found for next year. I want to
honor Seniors. Rachel John Kate Karen Marcus.
60th Food Comm: Hidden are ingredients for smores. If this meeting
doesn't end soon, you don't get any. One of the fun thinbgs about I
Banquet is being silly, but please...
New Business:
Move to form the committee of the whole minus one.
[Committee forms and decides on poo name for Charley]
Recommendation ofthe committee of the whole minus one:
Give a clue poo.
Kevin: Move that we hold a tigger hunt in the great court the full
week in October where brothers, pledges, and tiggers will be found in
plenty.
[AVP note: I have shortened this mess a bit. Both because my notebook
was stolen and I don't feel like sorting out the mess of this motion]
Carolyn: friendly amend the location from Killian Court to Lobby 10.
Kevin: Accepted
Rachel: friendly amend the purpose to a possum hunt.
Kevin: Denied
Chris: Can Emily and Ari recite Robert's Rules of Order from cover to
cover.
Ari: I don't have the book, but I can assure you that...
[AVP note: I just didn't bother writing the full response to this one]
Ping: Amend it to be a celebration of dexion with small change and
large bills to hunt heflums in lobby 10 the last full week in October,
where brothers, pledges and tiggers will be found in plenty.
Kevin: sure, why not
Chris: friendly amendment to change heflums to ugly manifestations on
campus.
Ron: Friendly amend mainifestation to man.
Kevin: rejected.
Alexis: Shorten it to UMOC.
[Chaos ensues and some people are getting a little upset. The motion
is passed.]

Cathy: Congrats to the new Pledge class.
