article, but it should still be legible as a text file.
So, where shall I start? OK, so I'm running for Apoc Ed. Why, you
ask? Because I want to be able to say at meetings, "nothing to
report." I also think it would be fun and I think I can do a good
job. You think it's fun??? you ask. Okay, maybe not with so many
question marks. Of course! I say. Though I've never done a
newsletter, I do know \LaTeX{} pretty well, and in fact, I like it an
awful lot, too. Now I know she's crazy, you say. (I also like
copiers! Did I mention I like copiers??)
Silliness aside, (at least for the moment) I do think I could do a
good job with the Apoc. I promise to do my best to wheedle, cajol,
beg, blackmail, and threaten (I'd say bribe, but I'm not that rich)
brothers and pledges and sundry into submitting articles for
publication. I can also steal Jeffrey's ideas and delve into the
suggestion box, quotes sheet, flame book, and any other interesting
writings to be found in the office. If all else fails, I'll just
insert bits of my thesis. $<$evil cackle$>$ How's that for a threat
to get people to write articles??
As for getting the Apoc online (since Jeffrey talked about it in his
article, I feel obliged to talk about it too), I think I'd have to get
to know Athena a bit better. With a little guidance, I could probably
get that going.
Now's the part when I talk about hosedness...
Next term, I will be working on my senior physics thesis, but I plan to
work on it over the summer, so it won't necessarily take over my
{\em entire} life. I also plan to take 7.02, French 3, and probably
some other physics course. Please note that I feel like I will
be {\em less} scrod next term than now, mostly because I won't be
taking Junior Lab. (Yay!!!)
In summary, I promise to be a good Apoc Ed, getting out timely
and thick Apocryphas to all who care about AXcoAPO going-ons.
Speaking of which, I hope to improve distribution by reinstating the
practice of writing people's names on Apocs and getting people
to deliver Apocs to their respective living groups.
Finally, I am open to any and all suggestions to improve
your enjoyment of the Apoc. After all, I wouldn't be able to
know what I could do better if I didn't listen to suggestions.
OK. Enough jabber. Back to Junior Lab.
-Hannah =)
