Minutes for second Chapter Meeting
2/20/96. Meeting called to order 7:34 P.M.
Attendance: Charley, Junko, Jill, Richard, Oscar, Alexis, Kate,
Joe, Glenn, Emily, Ari, Michael, Harry, Rachel
Officer Reports:
MVP- Cathy: Pledge ceremony coming up, come early and help.
We'll have a ritual practice
AVP- Ari: Nothing to report
SVP- Junko: Project this Saturday, CWI needs P.C., Easton coming up
Treasurer- Alexis: If you haven't paid your dues by the end of
this meeting, you're not active
Fellowship- Emily: I'll be hanging out with people. Next
official fellowship event is March 9th. We need PCs for study
breaks. Dinner trips coming up.
APOCed- Michael: Nothing to report
ASC- Lan (written report): Office table was cleaned- please clean
up after yourselves. Office supply cabinet has been rearanged.
Please clean out anything you have in the blue shelves in the
office. I will clean the office table at 5pm on Fridays. The
supply cabinet will be stocked soon.
PubDir- Oscar: If you want anything on the IC board, tell me.
The policy for drop posters has changed. We need an MIT ID and
put your name on the receipt whether or not you take money.
Historian- Ingrid (written report): I went through the desk
and found stuff. We might be able to order/develop film by mail.
Could use advice from former Historians. Also, I'd like to
know people's opinions about making slides. I will develop
undeveloped film and get camera to upcoming events. Regarding
60th, I'm thinking about a memoribilia display and/or taping
peoples' stories about the chapter.
Chairman of the advisory committee- Joe: Nothing to report
Commitees:
Servcomm- Junko: We're trying to get a letter out to service groups
Fincomm- Alexis: We met, talked about the loss of reg-day, how
we spend money (phone, transport, soda, food,etc) and how
we get money (dues, finboard, coke, etc)
60th- Harry: Invitations are out
Nomcomm- Charlie: Nothing to report
Old Bussiness: None
New Bussiness:
Motion- Glenn: Move that no atendee of the 60th celebration shall be
allowed to use the debt list to pat the cost of their attendance
Ammendment- Glenn: Ammendment: insert "except for those
individuals whom the chapter owes a greater amount of money"
after the word "attendance"
Discussion:
-Should it apply to undergrads?
-Questions on grammar
-Harry: We should ask for payment in advancce
-Questions as to whether this will be possible
-Alexis: I'm willing to deal with the debt list problem

Motion- Ari: Refer issue of not losing money on 60th to 60th committee
Motion Passes (White Ballot)
Motion- Glenn: Move that Servcomm be directed to search for further
service projects to be performed on campus, keeping in mind that we are
likely to lose Reg day, and that visibility to the student
body is an important aspect of our campus service, and that Servcomm be
further directed to report it findings by the chapter meeting of _____.
Discussion
-Servcomm doesn't want to be directed
Ammendment- Ari: Change 'directed' to 'recommended'

Motion- Oscar: Move to change drop poster sales to a for profit item
Discussion
-This is Fincomm's reccomendation
-Discussion of how much we spend/make- we're currently
making a little
Motion carries- Amount of raise referred to PubDir for reccomendation
Motion- Alexis: Move that it be a standing policy of the AXcoAPO that
pledge fees be a total of $18, $10 of which shall be sent to the
National office to satisfy national requirements and $8 shall
go to the chapter to cover costs of pledging and the cost of a
subscription to the newsletter. This policy shall remain in effect until
specifically ammended or rescinded. This policy shall take effect in the
Fall semester of 1996

Jill- SFF is coming- needs PCs. We need CD-s. Bring them to the office
and label them. It will be in Tang.
Michael- Saturday project coming- sign up
Lan- Carnival committee moved to 9:30- after pledge ceremonies
Oscar- 60th committee still looking for a quartermaster
PFTGOTO:
Richard- LSC had cookies. 1 year - 5 hours.
Alexis- 22 came to Saturday's project. Afternoons are good. The
GRT shaved the babie's head
Oscar- She fears for the cats
Jill- there's a string quartet Friday Night
Emily- Read 'Da chapta flame book'
