The leadership practicum and workshop have been tentatively been
scheduled for either the weekend of January 20-21 or the weekend of
January 27-28. I am leaning toward Jan 20 because there is an open meeting on
Jan 28, so that weekend is already going to be fairly busy. I would like to
solicit volunteers to run the practicum. Basically what I need is several
people who would be willing to prepare project scenarios for people to
"act out" during the practicum, as well as a few pepople to run a how to
PC 'x' project session before that. We will need to get organized during
the first weeks of IAP so we're ready to present the practicum in an
organzied form at the end of IAP. The committee who has currently volunteered
to be involved in this project are:
oops...
they're not in this notebook.....
guess i'll send that list out later....
We are planning to try to arrange something big for the 60th
anniversary of Alpha Chi chapter, but we need people to be on the committee
to represent the alumni so we can get moldy input from those who might have
been around for the 50th. The 60th committe currently consists of:
Actives Advisors
------------ -----------
Jeffrey Poore Joe Kuchta
Cathy Coury Yale Zussman
ALan Chang
Harry Tsai
Oscar Rodriguez
Alexis Lewis
Ari Wilkenfeld
Chris Falling
Junko Tamiya
I will be appointing a committee chair from among the actives on the
committee, and will entertain informal nominations before the appointment.
Currently, Camp Resolute is being investigated as a potential site for the
60th anniversary celebration, currently planned for mid to late May 1996.
Alumni members of the committee will be accepted through I-banquet (16 Dec),
but we need to get this thing rolling now. Please contact me with issues for
the 60th committee to address for the time being until I appoint a committee
chair to be responsible.
This event promises to provide many valuable leadership opportunities,
especially those relevant to managing the development and execution of a
very large scale project. As soon as the chairman of the committee has been
appointed, I will direct them to begin consideration of the specific events and
issues we would like to hold and address for the 60th.
Please refer any questions or comments for the time being to me at
