Hi everyone!
As you might have guessed from the header, I would like to run for an
office - specifically SVP.
Reasons I would make a good SVP:
1) I am very interested in the service program of the chapter since it is
at the core of this fraternity. I would like to know whether the current
mix of service projects is what the members of the chapter really wants
or whether it is just the kind of projects we have done many time before.
2) I will NOT BE HOSED!!! (I am virtually done with my major, for those of
you that are interested) :)
3) I like being on execcomm and have been on it before.
4) I am a junior so I will be around for another year to clue others in.
5) I will be around for most of IAP (except for the first 2 days)
Reasons I would NOT be a good SVP
1) When I was the ASC I was a bit of a flake and didn't get supplies
very promptly.
2) I'm sure there are other reasons that you can think of better than me. :)
What I would like to do as an SVP
1) As i mentioned in the beginning, I would like to know whether the
chapter really likes the current mix of projects. I personally do but
that doesn't mean everyone does. I would keep Chapter Weekend and the
other major projects but perhaps the Saturday projects need a change.
I have heard some people say that they want more people projects. I am
also concerned that some brothers go inactive because they want different
types of projects.
2) I would like to have more interchapter projects. I know that my pledge
term and the term after that we had some but I don't remember any very
recently. I know that interchapter projects are a lot of organization but
I think that it is useful to get to know people from other chapters.
Ok, I'll end my long-winded speech.
YiLFS,
Junko
