Minutes of ExecCom Meeting (Oct. 24, 1995)

Administrative  notes:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Start: 7:36 pm; End: 7:50 pm. Present: Harry, Karen, Cathy, Charley,
Kevin, Alexis, Susan, Yale, Ari, Elaine. Charley
Officers'  reports:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SVP (Cathy): We had a project at the National Braille Press. It was
       fun. It was cool. This weekend we have a project at George's
       Island PCed by Ingrid.

Ingrid (in absentia): Ingrid's project announcement: George's Island
       is Saturday. We will have 3 rooms in the haunted house OR we
       can help with an obstacle course for 7-12 year olds OR we can do
       crowd control. If you want to come, sign up in the office. Wake-
       up calls will be made upon request, but MAKE SURE YOUR
       PHONE INFO IS CORRECT!!!! [my fault -AVP] Please be
       aware that we will leave the office at 7:30 AM!. I won't stick
       around for people who are late, because I don't want to miss the
       boat. So sign up and I'll see you Saturday. YiS, -Ingrid.

SVP (Cathy): Also, Ingrid wrote up a UMOC Report.

Ingrid (continuing to be in absentia): UMOC has started! We have
       currently collected some amount of money which I don't know
       because Bob did something weird with the totals sheet. Any-
       way, we have 4 official candidates (soon to be 5, I hope), and
       maybe we'll have some prizes soon. The publicity PC is sick
       and hosed, so please poster THIS WEEK because it needs to
       be done. ALSO sign up for booth hours because that needs to
       be done, too. AND sign up to take down the dexion so that it
       doesn't take two hours. YiS, -Ingrid.

SVP (Cathy): Bob's total this is 133.11 dollars. Also sign up for
       chapter weekend II. It's a weekend away from this weekend.
       You MUST sign up by the 26th. November 10 there's a project
       at Shriner's Children's Hospital on a Friday, the same weekend
       as Conclave.

MVP (Kevin): I have been meeting with pledges, but I've only met
       with half so far, so I don't have any profound pearls of wisdom
       to share. It looks like pledges are getting information, which is
       good.

AVP (Karen): nothing to report

Treasurer (Alexis): If you didn't get email from me, that means you
       owe the chapter less than 10 dollars or the chapter owes you
       money (which also means that you owe the chapter less than 10
       dollars.)

FC (Jeffrey): not present[...but there was a report send by email.]
       Subject: fellowship chair report. Hi. I am not going to be at
       the meeting tonite, and so I emailed a report in. The reason
       I am not at the meeting is I am still very sick and so far only
       getting mildly better each day. I could probably barely speak
       this report without sounding awful to you. Steak Fry happened.
       I hear it went pretty well. I am bugging my little about SFF,
       and I think she will be ok. There is never a time too soon
       to volunteer to PC I-banquet. I am proud to announce that I
       will not be PC'ing anything else (except for an occasional study
       break) for the rest of the term. Because of my cold I will just be
       too hosed for a while to do anything but homework in my spare
       time.

APOcEd (Chris): has a 5.12 exam. Has APOcs but not stapled yet.
       (Some assemby required.)

ASC (Ari): I keep cleaning the office, but everyone keeps amessing it
       up! [Italian accent] And for the record, Kevin has been inden-
       tured for the next six monthes to the chapter (along with a bag
       of carrots.)

PubDir (Susan): I did PubDir things. I gave half the board to
       UMOC publicity PC but found out he's sick. I bought a lot of
       paint a little while ago, but I was alarmed to not find any in the
       the cabinet. I will track them down. [AVP note - boy, and she
       knows how to leave impression-making phone messages! (with
       laughter in the background)]

Historian (Bob): (written in black ink on a white napkin) Historian's
       report. Historian is hosed. I took pictures at Steak Fry, and got
       new film. I don't think I was annoying enough, because the
       fridge won immunity from the camera at the auction. [As Ari
       noted, though, immunity is not valid for pledges as the fridge
       historically is.]

Advisory Comm. Chair (Joe): not presentbecause he had gone to
       a golfing tournament and then went home to eat, sleep, shower,
       etc. nothing to reportanyway.

President (Harry): I have information about Conclave. It's Nove 10-
       12 at UMAss Amherst. We need to RSVP/sign up by October
       28 (or whenever we darn well please.)

Committee  reports:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
none that have not already been reported.
Old  Business:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
none

New  Business:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
none
Announcements:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kevin: I've been getting on pledges to get big brothers. 5 don't
       have any. 2 of them I'm not worried about, but the other two I
       am. Before it is too late for a BB to be effective, any brothers
       interested in being a big brother, go ahead and ask Gabriel,
       Damon, or Tuknekah.

PFTGOTO:
~~~~~~~
Karen:  We're all like really lame.
Alexis:  I have a PFTGOTO. I went to a Team Works meeting and it
       was good.
Meeting adjourned at 7:50 to general lameness.  [Only 14 minutes!  I
think that's a record!]
