Playgrounds, Picnic's, & Theater August 26, 1995 -- 3:30pm
Come join me for a pot-luck picnic dinner along the Charles River
followed by a performance of "Sweeny Todd" by the Publick Theatre for
those who are interested in staying. There's a playground, complete with
wading pool to entertain the kids. There's plenty of grass (currently
mostly very brown thanks to the heat wave) for sitting on, and perhaps a
few picnic tables (if we can hijack them). There aren't any permanent
grills, but people bring habatchi's to the area all the time. The
location: The park along the Charles river near the intersection of
Soldier's Field Road & Everett Street.
Come to play and have dinner or come to play have dinner and go to the
play or come to have dinner and go to the play or come to have dinner or
come to play or ...
The Publick Theater is a professional company that performs outdoors on a
stage that's tucked into the park. Tickets for the play will be $15 or
$16 (I don't have the exact price in front of me), that's a $1 discount
because I'm a subscriber. The tickets will be bought at the door so you
can decide at the last minute to join us.
Please RSVP to Ellen Kranzer, 617-254-0057, ccrazy@world.std.com, 18
Riverdale Street, Allston, MA 02134 so I can get an approximate headcount
and give you real directions. (Don't worry if you don't hear from me
until around Aug. 23, I'm about to head out of town on vacation -- but my
roommate and my email take messages just fine.)
