I talked to Teddy (who works on the PPC I was trying it on), and he
said that he had the PPC set up to drop into the debugger whenever a
program tried to `write to nil', for some debugging he was doing. I
checked it out on the PPC in the sipb office, and it works fine
(notwithstanding the not-yet implemented stuff :-). Did you get it to
let you spawn external viewers yet? I get ``can't find external
viewer; would you like to open one manually?'', and if I try to open
one manually I always get dumped back to that dialog.
