Remember that this only happens if you set it up that way. Joe User only allows list, not read, on the top level of his homedir. Personally, I don't like the saved history, so I wouldn't be against removing it completely, but a nicer alternative would be to make it default to creating it in ~/Private. Does anyone think this is a good/bag/ugly idea?
