What privacy issue? If you don't like it being there, just move it.
I use:
XMosaic*globalHistoryFile: stuff/www/global-history
XMosaic*defaultHotlistFile: stuff/www/hotlist
XMosaic*personalAnnotationDirectory: stuff/www/annotations
Is this what you meant, or did you have something else in mind? Personally,
I think this is far less of a concern than ~/.history
(echo 'unset savehist' >> ~/.cshrc :-)
