There are two reasons why I think my solution is better than using the photo widget 1) The photo widget isn't in the vanilla wish and generating a new version of wish is a pain 2) The photo widget doesn't handle file reading. By using xloadimage to blast a pixmap onto a frame widget, I save myself a lot of programming.
