Internet Proposed Standards, likely to be succeeded in the next
few months by a new pair of Proposed Standards based on evolving
GSS-V2 Internet-Drafts (adding extensions largely related to
multi-mechanism implementation experience, but maintaining
backward compatibility with 1508/1509).

A GSS reference implementation is included in the MIT Kerberos V5
distribution.

For further GSS-API discussion, see the IETF Common Authentication
Technology (CAT) mailing list (cat-ietf@mit.edu; join via E-mail
to cat-ietf-request@mit.edu).
