Just my 0.02c worth.

The BUGTRAQ list requires periodic resubscription. It is not a painful
process, and it absolutely ensures that people can get off the list
when they want to but can't (either through their inability to follow
unsubscribe instructions, or those instructions not working)

As for the comment from Alessio Casati:

my take is that this will modify my behaviour in a good way - i won't have to
keep deleting all those d*mn messages from 'some idiot' asking to be taken off
the list.

now can we get back to the subject of WWW security?
