Unfortunately, these idiots really don't care about how we perceive them.
They simply want to gain attention. IMHO, the best thing to do is ignore
the idiots. Don't read their messages. Don't respond to their messages.
And so on. However, that not being done, it is perhaps a better idea to
take some sort of action.
What about the possibility of a second, moderated list? I thought that
this option had been presented once-upon-a-time, and possibly even someone
volunteered to be moderator. Possibly break it into www-security-gen and
www-security-pro, where the first being general, open to the ignorant
public, and the second being moderated, a little more choosy on who is
allowed to subscribe (ie: you have to have a reason, such as being a
security professional, web admin., etc.) designed more for the more
educated person.
