I don't know if this has ever been posted about here or not, but I wanted to
ask anyways. In certain servers it would scan for your IP address and then
log it in a file (for security reasons I guess). But, when using a proxy not
of your own ISP's then it would find a different IP address for you.
For example, if my ip address is 193.188.84.123 (which is in .bh) and i'm
using a proxy in .uk then it would catch a totally different ip address. Is
that retraceable ? In other words, if any illegal operation was done using
this way is it possible for me, the server, to trace down the actual
original ip address?
Thank you.
