->
-> another option:
->
-> instead of using Stronghold, you can use SecureScape
->
-> just go to http://www.dejanews.com and search on "securescape"
->
-> securescape patches netscape to offer full 128-bit encryption outside of
-> the United States and Canada

Well, problem is, SecureScape appears to have been yanked.

Welcome to the SecureScape Technologies Home Page

The founder of SecureScape Technologies and developer of SecureScape
is an American citizen. ITAR, which govern the export of encryption,
appears to apply to American citizens in all times and
places. Therefore, SecureScape has been removed from this site until
further notice for clarification of the relevant
U.S. regulations. Please contact the developer for further
information.

But wait, there's more. Lest you think it possible to release
SecureScape without the offending encryption code (which is what I
did), apparently distributing code which merely includes hooks to use
encryption code constitutes a violation of ITAR!

SecureScape Technologies announces SecureScape, a revolutionary
program hat offers international users of Netscape Navigator the same
high level of security as that enjoyed by users in North
America. SecureScape is currently alpha software. It works, but is not
practical for everyday use. It is currently only available for users
of Netscape 1.1 or greater on Windows 95 or Windows NT. It does not
come with an installation program. Therefore, it is only reccomended
for experienced computer users at his time.

SecureScape uses the SSLeay encryption library. This library cannot be
used in the United States because portions of it are covered by
patents owned by RSA. Usage elsewhere is permitted.

Stay tuned. New versions of SecureScape will be made available, and
for more computer platforms.

SecureScape is free alpha software. Standard disclaimers apply.

For more information please contact info@SecureScape.com.
