=46rom the looks of it, someone misplaced a blank space. {tlhIngan =
mu=E2=80=99vaD muv} makes more sense than {tlhIngan mu=E2=80=99 vaDmuv}. =
There are not many polysyllabic verb roots.
Anyway, thanks for {nIq} and {Hut=E2=80=99Inmey tIq}. One suspects that =
since a stitch in time saves nine, that {Hut} suggests there=E2=80=99s a =
pun here, though =E2=80=9Cnine bells=E2=80=9D or =E2=80=9Cnine drums=E2=80=
=9D doesn=E2=80=99t make the specific pun obvious to me yet.
Is there some translation for crochet that would fill in the missing =
piece? You use sticks for crochet, not weaving.
It would be hard to talk about weaving without a word for a loom, or for =
that matter, the various types of loom. I=E2=80=99ve used jack looms, =
counter-march looms and a couple others that I=E2=80=99ve forgotten the =
names of=E2=80=A6
I made a =E2=80=9CV=E2=80=9D shaped shawl once with the two legs of the =
shawl woven through each other =E2=80=94 warp for one is the weft for =
the other, with alternating stripes of basket-weave and twill. Creme and =
lavender. It took an 8-harness jack loom to make it. No minor process.
