I just remember the turkish way to say that, "sifirin altinda xy" which 
means literally "at the area below the zero" (NB: -da means -Daq)

In klingon that would work perfectly as {pagh bIngDaq loS} for "4 below 
zero".

Just and idea... but you have asked for "ideas" :-)
