Rectangular prism? Box? Are batteries usually rectangular Down Under? I tend to think of them as cylindrical. <g>
I thought the consensus was that {'aplo'} was a closed/sealed container, i.e. a container that can't (or shouldn't) be opened or used as a module, like a battery, cassete tape, etc. (Though how this would be different from a {bobcho'} "module" is unknown. I don't supposed they're mentioned in the paq'batlh?)
What did the picture of {'ul 'aplo'mey} in TalkNow! look like? IIRC wasn't it listed along with {mIllogh qonwI'} "camera" and {mIllogh qonwI' qoSta'} "film"?
