To refresh folks' memories, the story so far:
roStevan, Emperor of the Kol'vat Region, and 'avtanDIl, a mighty warrior lo=
rd loyal to roStevan, went together on a hunt. While hunting, they encounte=
red a strange warrior wearing a sabre bear's pelt, who killed or wounded a =
dozen of roStevan's attendants; roStevan eventually decided that the warrio=
r could only be an evil spirit, but his daughter, tIna'tIn, was not so sure=
. Knowing that 'avtanDIl was secretly in love with her, tIna'tIn swore an o=
ath that she would marry 'avtanDIl if he would spend a year searching for t=
he Warrior in the Sabre Bear Pelt, and determine if he was spirit or man. '=
avtanDIl of course agreed, and in the last 'ay' he spent some time explaini=
ng what he was to do to his pupil SermaDIn, who naturally was distraught at=
having his master leave for any length of time.

SKI: 'avtanDIl writes a letter to his vassals, teachers, and armies explain=
ing that he has declared SermaDIn to be the ruler of his yoS in his stead.
[1] We have little canon for {toS}, so I'm using it like a normal verb of m=
otion: {vI-} for motion to, {jI-} for motion on (cf. HQ 7:4). {bebDaq jItoS=
