Yeah, it doesn't have the same connotations in other languages. The closest Klingon has would be {ngup}, which is also an object associated with power or political authority , but doesn't also convey the setting. I would avoid referencing just "America" though, since that isn't a country (it's a huge amount of countries; but then again, and I am the only person I know that insists on not using the broad term "America" to refer specifically to the United States, so that's almost just a personal preference on my part).
