If you're a iPhone user, you'll be familiar with the phone 'helpfully' making qat into way, and the like. My trick is to enable an international keyboard for a poorly supported language with the same keyboard layout (I use Icelandic). It never autocorrects, and rarely suggests any changes to letters, except to suggest other Klingon words, like retlh for tetlh.
You'll still have it try to steal your final apostrophes though. Anyone have a fix for that?
