I am in negotiations with the folks who are running this year's Worldcon
(aka Chicon), which runs from August 30th thru September 3rd, 2012,
at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, Illinois (USA).
The plan is to have the qep'a' in the same hotel, beginning the morning
of Monday, August 27th and run through the evening of Wednesday,
August 29th (with the usual morning gathering and leave-taking
yawn-fest on the morning of Thursday, August 30th -- i.e., the same
morning as people start arriving for the Worldcon).
Chicago is an amazing city (and not just because I was born there),
and would be a wonderful place to hold the qep'a'. The Worldcon
they put on there should be exceptional as well, and if you're thinking
of attending the qep'a', I'd encourage you to join the Worldcon as
well (details can be found here: https://chicon.org/)
Again, the above dates and location for the qep'a' are still tentative.
But they are extremely likely.
