This isn't quite a new use of a known verb, but {QaD} is used in the sense
of "be safe, be protected" in the text. It jumped out at me since it's
supposed to be "slang", so I had a hard time seeing either Kahless or Molor
using it; or, if we go along with the story that the text is a modern
translation of an ancient work, I found it difficult to believe that a
serious academic translator would use a slang term.
