Take that, beginners, even the intro is in Klingon today. Sorry about
that. It's not actually a story intro, just a passionate (positive)
rant about Klingon and the people who make it work, and my changing
goals for the story.
As for the story, it continues, as do my pleas to tell me whenever
you spot an error or ambiguity. If you're a less advanced speaker
and you decide to try a few paragraphs, and you run into stuff you
don't understand, by all means ask, publicly or by private e-mail. I
would be delighted for my story to be a learning experience for
someone other than me.
As you may recall, as the previous 'ay' came to a close, Mahoun had
toppled 'eSSIm onto her back and---not what you might think if you're
not following the story--was doing his best to stab her in the face
with a knife.

requires" and treknobabble thing, but I'm not going to play along
with infinite intercompatibility of alien technologies. Sometimes you
just gotta point your iPhone at the screen and press 'record.'

(I imagine the yelwIt De'wI' looking like one of those filmstrip
viewers people over forty will remember from elementary school.)
