That might be because Christopher Lloyd was very conscientious about
pronunciation and wanted to get the Klingon "right". For example, he
intentionally -- and proudly -- spoke the Klingon sounds {torgh} when
addressing Torg even in English.

Or it might just be the dental appliance he was wearing. Does anyone
have a good record of Marc Okrand's story about that handy?
