Do'Ha', vISeHbe'. It was a two page story but I
didn't like the ending, so I kept writing until I
found a new ending. Then I didn't like the plot
holes so I went back and filled some in. Then I
didn't like the ending anymore so I deleted the
new ending and kept writing some more. It fianlly
ended, and then I left that ending in and wrote
more anyway. I'll send the first bit today. There
are ten parts of about 200-300 words each. I'll
send one a day here then put the whole thing on
my blog where I can correct it. I might even
write more. I do know what the song was about.
Please let me know what is awkward, ungrammatical
or confusing. I have shifted between past and
present and from one ship to another several
times during the story and while it works in my
mind, perhaps it is confusing to read. Other than
it being multiple pages of single-spaced text, I
don't think it should be too challenging for a
non-advanced speaker to pick through. I have used
existing vocabulary to guide the story in order
to avoid difficult descriptions, and have coined no compound words.

Of course you'll need all the new-ish (maybe five
years old now) aviation words. Okrand dragged
them out of Maltz for me, so you can bet I'm going to use them.
Also, we're sorely lacking words for types of
sounds in Klingon. While the word I was looking
for was “crepination,” it made me realize we
don't have bang, creak, groan, crack, thud,
scratch, whir, hum or click. Wouldn't it be funny
if Klingons had no vocabulary for sounds, kind of
like us with scents, and every description of a
sound came out like something off a QTSB
transcript. “pIvghor Do wIvmeH leQ rurbogh wab Qoylu'.”
And finally my apologies for not knowing Star
Trek details like the layout and crew complement
of an appropriate Klingon scoutship. I will
incorporate suggestions from anyone knowledgeable on the subject.
Okay, now this introduction is so long I'll start
the story in the next message.
