This year's qep'a' was held during the days immediately preceding the
2011 World Science Fiction Convention in Reno, Nevada (which is
currently underway). The plan was a reasonable success, even if
various factors kept many people from attending who normally would
have been present. If everything can be worked out appropriately,
qep'a' wa'maH HutDIch will similarly slip in before the 2012 Worldcon.
The 70th World Science Fiction Convention (Chicon 7) will take place
August 30-September 3, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago,
Illinois. That means the nineteenth annual conference of the KLI is
likely to run officially from August 27-29. (Yes, that's Monday
through Wednesday. Think of it as a chance to get together early and
party during the weekend!)
The plans are not even close to final, so don't make irrevocable
decisions just yet. This is only a heads-up to give you plenty of time
to start considering what you want to do a year from now.
