No surprises here. {qamchIy} previously appeared in Keith R.A. DeCandido's 2001 novel _Diplomatic Implausibility_ (the glossary of which was vetted by Okrand).

According to the Klingon Extended Corpus Project (http://www.kli.org/stuff/ECP ), thranx is "a Klingon plant that flowers only every eight years [KLS p.60]".
This adds to our tiny list of known Klingon flowers:
chal type of flower ["When you are my wife, your beauty will blossom like {chal} flowers in spring." (in A.C. Crispin's novel SAREK, p.58; vocabulary vetted by Okrand)
naHjej thistle KGT ["a thistle (a flower with dangerously sharp leaves) is a {naHjej} (literally, 'sharp fruit')" (KGT p.88)
*{tlhoghnI'} or *{tlhoghnay'} night-blooming Throgni (a fragrant Klingon flower) ["Worf found the smell of a Quazulu VIII virus similar to the Throgni." (_Star Trek Encyclopedia_ p.219; cf. TNG "Angel One") The second spelling matches Michael Dorn's pronunciation.]
