I spent about 5 minutes going through the dictionary, checking and
double checking, basically going nuts trying to find some meaning
for the word te'QaS. It wasn't until I finally gave up and read the
rest of the sentence, coming to maSachu'Set that I figured it out.
I could have sworn there was something in the guidelines about this,
and I know I've stated it several times before, but here's once more
for the record:
Please DO NOT transliterate English words into Klingon spelling! It
is just confusing and does not accomplish anything useful. I
presume that te'QaS was supposed to mean "Texas" (even now I'm not
100% certain). So "I am in Texas but you are in Massachusetts"
should be done as: "Texas"Daq jIH 'ach "Massachusetts"Daq SoH.
Think about it. If the more experienced people are being confused
by this, how much more so the relative beginners?
Eli, this belongs in the FAQ if it is not already.
