The truth in theory, I suppose, is that in Klingon the 'i'/'I' sound is
written neither as 'i' nor as 'I' but as the corresponding letter in the piqaD
spelling system, and that the choice of 'I' rather than 'i' was made by
tera'ngan language scholars who had to transcribe it into a spelling system
that their printers etc could print.
How soon are we likely to have information about piqaD?
